The Regulatory Authority of the Post office and the Telecommunications organizes, under the patronage of His Excellency the President of the Republic, with partnership of the International Telecommunication Union, including its Regional Arab States office, a seminar on the electronic certification on the 8th and the 9th December 2009 at the Hilton Hotel, Algiers.

This important event, organized with the initiative of the Regulatory Authority, is registered as a study and prospective for the next introduction and deployment of the electronic certification in Algeria. In this context, we have to notice that the Executive Decree 07-162 of May 30, 2007 has regulated the activity of the electronic certification by classifying it under the authorization’s system, provided by Article 39 of Law 2000-03 of 05 August 2000 laying down general rules of post and telecommunications. Article 3 of Executive Order 07-162 states that "the establishment and operation of the electronic certification services are subject of the granting of a permit issued of Regulatory Authority of the Post office and Telecommunications.

Therefore, this seminar, will be animated by national and international experts and will provide an opportunity for exchanges and discussions to better grasp and understand of the electronic certification, the technological developments, and its use in various applications: e-Government, e-commerce, e-finance, e-banking, etc..
